Grand Theft Auto Advance (GBA)

Rockstar Games brings the Grand Theft Auto to GBA.

GTA games are largely known for their free-form, nonlinear gameplay but there is always some sort of reason for causing chaos. In Grand Theft Auto for GBA, you return once more to Liberty City, the location of Grand Theft Auto 3. You and your buddy, Vinnie, were getting ready to finish your last “job” for the mob and leave Liberty City. Unfortunately, Vinnie’s getaway car blows up “in a ball of flames” as does all of the cash. Liberty City police is now looking for you, so you need to try to get out but not before you found out who murdered your best buddy.

Grand Theft Auto returns to the series’ 2D roots. Thankfully, you’ll still have dozens of vehicules to borrow including compacts, sports cars, delivery trucks, taxis, SWAT vans and tanks. The nonlinear gameplay returns also, thanks to a Liberty City twice the size as Grand Theft Auto 3. Story missions will allow you to proceed but you’ll also be able to complete hundreds of side missions: taxi driver, paramedic, fire fighter, street racing, vigilante, and rampages.

For obvious reasons the game is rated M. It is currently scheduled for release on October 26th, to go alongside the PS2 version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
