Microsoft announces that Café Tacvba will participate in the latest Game with Game. They are calling on all Xbox Live gamers to challenge them in a game of Electronic Arts’ Need For Speed Underground 2 presented by Best Buy on Tuesday, May 3.
Players interested in taking on one or all four members of Café Tacvba can look for gamertags: cafetacuba, cafetacuba1, cafetacuba2 and cafetacuba3 on Xbox Live from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PT.
Additionally, fans can log on to http://cafetacuba.umusic.com and enter to win a host of prizes including the grand prize package of an Xbox console, a copy of Need For Speed Underground 2, a 12-month subscription to Xbox Live, a DVD of Café Tacvba’s new album, “Un Viaje” and much more.
“Un Viaje” hits stores this week and is Café Tacvba’s highly-anticipated double-disc follow-up to the critically-acclaimed “Cuatro Caminos,” which earned the 2004 Grammy for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Group, and more 2004 Latin Grammy nominations than any other artist. In addition to the double-disc, “Un Viaje” is also now available in a box set and on DVD. The band’s latest single, "Medio Dia," continues to climb the National Airplay charts of Mexico.
The extreme game world in Need For Speed Underground 2 gives gamers the ability to explore the world of street racing while other racers attempt to school players in the ways of the underground racing world.
Xbox Live's "Game with Fame" gives game fans the opportunity to play on Xbox Live against some of today's hottest stars. Past "Game with Fame" celebrity players include The Strokes, Hoobastank and Buffalo Bills' Running Back Willis McGahee.
